Hopi captured its national record 27th consecutive state championship, winning the Division IV boys title 56-80 over Pinon at the Arizona state finals at Cave Creek Golf Course. Andre Dennis covered the 5-kilometer course in 16:51 to place fourth, Jihad Nodman took seventh in 16:58, with Andre Lucas eighth in 17:06, Dewayne Laban taking 17th in 17:31, Steven Baker securing 20th in 17:35, Shaunanthony Pashano finishing 65th in 18:39 and Tyrell Humeyestewa 101st in 19:23.
