Walden Grove junior Johnathon Lane finished second in the 5-kilometer Division 3 boys final in 16:09.2 at the Arizona AIA state championship meet at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix. Lane, who improved from seventh at last year's meet, helped Walden Grove finish eighth with 229 points.
