Alex Saldamando, a senior at Millennium High, secured seventh place in the Division 2 boys final by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 16:58.2 at the Arizona Interscholastic Association state championship meet at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix. Saldamando helped the Tigers capture the first team title in program history with a 109-121 victory against six-time champion Flagstaff High.
