Desert Mountain High senior teammates Kaia LaHann and Haley Wilkinson secured sixth and seventh place, respectively, in the Division 2 girls final to help the Wolves capture the first team title in program history with a 100-117 victory against 18-time champion Flagstaff High at the Arizona Interscholastic Association state championship meet a Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix. LaHann covered the 5-kilometer layout in 20:20.9 and Wilkinson ran 20:21.9 for Desert Mountain, which ascended to the top of the podium following a 48-144 setback against Flagstaff last year.
