Sophomore Mia Hall and senior Allie Thurgood helped Flagstaff High win its sixth consecutive Division 2 girls team championship, the longest streak in program history, at the Arizona AIA state final at Crossroads Park in Gilbert. Mia Hall covered the 5-kilometer layout in 17:54.55 to secure the individual crown and Thurgood ran 18:40.6 to place sixth for Flagstaff, which had all five scorers in the top 16 to prevail against Catalina Foothills by a 41-79 margin. The Eagles, who had won five in a row from 2000-04, captured their 17th state team title overall.
