Nick Hiser, a senior at Buena High, placed second in the Division 2 boys final by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 16:40.0 at the Arizona Interscholastic Association state championship meet at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix. Hiser helped the Colts finish fourth as a team with 137 points.
